ChatGPT: The chatbot that's sweeping the internet

Summarize this content with artificial intelligence!

Chatbots have become popular among users in the last few years. Also, they have been a good example of the adoption of artificial intelligence. Chatbots, which do many jobs from generating potential customers for sales to answering frequently asked questions, have long proved that they are the cornerstone of human-artificial intelligence interaction.

OpenAI, had gone viral with its DALL-E image-generation technology released in April. It drew attention with each of its new updates. Lastly, it opened its chat robot ChatGPT, which is in the testing phase, for beta use. So much so that ChatGPT went viral on the internet in an instant. It once again demonstrated how far artificial intelligence has progressed.

You may be wondering what ChatGPT, which everyone is talking about and now viral, is. What is ChatGPT? What can ChatGPT do? How is ChatGPT used? In this article, we examine ChatGPT.

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT; is OpenAl's GPT-3 based chat robot. ChatGPT aims to help OpenAI develop better artificial intelligence systems by examining user feedback. This Chatbot is a new model that establishes an interaction very close to reality using human language.

With the release of ChatGPT, these bots have now shown that they are ready to move on to the next stage of their evolution. ChatGPT, which already has 1 million users even less than a week after the launch, has a much more advanced structure than previous models in creating content belonging to a language structure such as human or machine language. Most users were amazed at how smart the AI-supported bot is. Some users even named ChatGPT as a product that will replace Google.

As the Coderspace team, when we asked ChatGPT "How are you today?" and "How do I make an HTTP request in Javascript?", we received the following responses:

“Unfortunately, I am a software program and I don't have feelings. I can only answer your questions correctly. If you have a question, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help you.”

ChatGPT answers questions in a simple language close to human. If you are looking for a chat where the robot behaves as if it has feelings, look elsewhere because ChatGPT avoids answering personal questions.

ChatGPT was launched to the market with a different data collection method unlike other Chatbots. It is said that ChatGPT, which is still in the testing phase, uses all your conversations to improve itself.

What Can ChatGPT Do?

ChatGPT; can help you write code, create blog posts, create a movie script, besides, it can help you write stories based on imagination. The bot can have philosophical discussions with you. In addition to these, ChatGPT can also detect code errors in the software.

A user who tried ChatGPT said that he completed a job that was supposed to take all day within minutes. Programmers have tried to solve the problems they encounter during coding with ChatGPT and they were successful.

A developer shared a screenshot of an error occurring in his code with ChatGPT. Then, he wrote to ChatGPT "This code is not working as I want. How can I fix the code?" ChatGPT pointed out the line of code causing the problem. He also conveyed the solution to the user. This conversation happened thanks to memory that allows ChatGPT to remember its previous answers.

  • OpenAI CEO Sam Altman wrote in a Tweet he shared that there is still much to do.

today we launched ChatGPT. try talking with it here: https://t.co/uWra8LKFMN

  • YouTuber Liv Boeree believes that with ChatGPT, children will no longer spend hours on homework. The user made ChatGPT write a 4-paragraph article.

ChatGPT also has limitations

While many people have been testing the capabilities of ChatGPT, which is still in the testing phase, some have also noticed its limits. ChatGPT can give wrong answers to math problems.

ChatGPT; gives standard answers to personal questions, topics like race and religion. We recommend you to watch the documentary called Coded Bias airing on Netflix to recognize racist and sexist approaches in the algorithms and to see where they can extend.

Despite ChatGPT talks as if it gives accurate information, there may be false sentences, inferences that disrupt the logic in the information it gives. Users can trust these outcomes thinking that the bot has no chance of making mistakes.

Before using Open.AI, ChatGPT warns that "The system can generate information that could lead to wrong or misleading instructions, and can use offensive and biased expressions."

How is ChatGPT Used?

Chat GPT, the artificial intelligence-based chat robot, can be used for free. So how is it done? Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Open the website https://chat.openai.com from any browser.
  2. Click on the "Sign up" button for OpenAI membership. Register with your email address.
  3. After this, you have to enter a phone number. Then, you will receive an approval number via SMS to complete the installation. Your registration will be completed after you enter the approval number on the screen.
  4. After logging into your account, you can test ChatGPT from the chat screen that opens.

What Distinguishes ChatGPT from Others?

One of ChatGPT's most unique features is its memory, which allows it to remember past conversations and use them. This feature sets ChatGPT apart from other chatbot competitors.

ChatGPT is designed to avoid responding to controversial topics.

It also has filters to prevent users from generating text related to illegal activities. These safety measures and content filters make ChatGPT more secure compared to other chatbots. For example, Meta's Galactica was shut down because it was not considered safe.

In conclusion, ChatGPT seems to stand out among other chatbots. Of course, this model still has features that need to be explored. The purpose of public demos is to identify these features and potential errors.

After the release of ChatGPT, everyone started asking the same questions: At what point will companies use these systems? What advantages will these systems provide to businesses? Can AI reach human imagination? How will ChatGPT impact the software world? As its responses improve over time, will it eventually become the all-knowing AI we’ve imagined, moving beyond just a sci-fi concept? We’ll have to wait and see.

By the way, if you like this bot, you might also want to check out Google's AI tool, Talk to Books, which allows you to interact with books.
